		<description>Blair&#039;s admission that he would have done it anyway crosseas a significant tipping point. Until now it has always been possible to believe that, at the end of the day, as the person bearing ultimate responsibility for the safety of the country, there was a fear that, even on the slightest of evidence, there was a danger he could not avoid and therfore had to act.
The new admission strips away even that &quot;excuse&quot; and having stripped it away reveals a calculated deception of even his closest colleagues whom he persuaded to support him.
His exploitation of that trust is appalling.
