Given: the ‘legally binding’ commitment to CO2 reduction entered into by the last (Labour) govt.; the lack of investment in energy over the last 13 yrs; and the life expectancy of current coal & nuclear power stations – there is little alternative to rapid deployment of new nuclear – unless you want to see the ‘lights go out’.
